Hi, I’m Takira, Owner of The Rye Note and Founder of Vinyl & Paint and the Taste & Tone Night Market. I started this journey with a simple belief that music and art have the power to bring people together, spark conversation, and create space for joy, healing, and self-expression. The Rye Note was born from my love of deep listening, shared experiences, and cultural connection.

I founded and originated Vinyl & Paint to create a space where music, art, and community collide. Each event invites guests to slow down, listen deeply, and express themselves on canvas while timeless records from Black artists set the tone. It is part listening session, part creative unwind, and part community mixer, a curated experience that celebrates Black artistry, fosters self-expression, and brings people together in an elevated, intentional, and deeply human atmosphere.

Taste & Tone Night Market expands this vision into a larger community celebration. Guests explore and support local Black-owned vendors, enjoy live art and music, and savor curated bites while immersing themselves in a vibrant, interactive environment. Every interaction, performance, and discovery contributes to a shared story, making each night a living canvas of creativity, culture, and connection.
